 Principles for Choosing an MP: People vs. Party


In a true democracy, should we vote for "the best suitable person" to represent a constituency or focus solely on the party they belong to? If the party becomes the primary factor, are we undermining the essence of democracy by ignoring individual merit?


Is it fair to prioritize party loyalty over choosing a capable, local representative? Or is this a form of democratic hypocrisy that needs rethinking?
